RAPID CITY, S.D. — July 25, 2025 — The YMCA of Rapid City has appointed Kristy Lintz as its new Chief Operations Officer, bringing decades of experience in recreation, operations, and community leadership to the organization.
In her new role, Lintz will oversee operations across four YMCA branch locations in the Black Hills region, focusing on program development, leadership cultivation, financial stewardship, and community outreach.
“Kristy brings a wealth of experience, strong track record of operational excellence, and deep commitment to our mission,” said Keiz Larson, CEO of the YMCA of Rapid City. “I’m confident she will play a key role in driving our strategic vision forward and strengthening our impact across the communities we serve.”
Lintz’s professional background spans more than 20 years in leadership roles across South Dakota’s parks and recreation sectors. She is known for building inclusive, community-centered programs and advancing recreation initiatives that improve quality of life for all ages.
A lifelong South Dakotan, Lintz lives on a family ranch with her husband, Brian, and their two children, Rylee and Jack. When she’s not hiking or biking the trails of the Black Hills, she’s helping run the family’s local pizza restaurant — a nod to her entrepreneurial spirit and love of community.
The YMCA of Rapid City continues to expand its offerings in wellness, youth sports, and group fitness. For program information or to get involved, visit https://shorturl.at/McDCP or call 605-718-9622.
