Rapid City, South Dakota – After ten years of operating as an exclusive destination for members and guests of the historic Hotel Alex Johnson, Juniper at Vertex Sky Bar is now officially open to the public, offering its signature elevated dining and sweeping views of Rapid City and the Black Hills.
The move, announced on October 1, 2025, means that residents and visitors to South Dakota can now enjoy the venue’s refined atmosphere, inventive cuisine, and curated drink selections without a membership or hotel reservation.
Juniper at Vertex Sky Bar will offer daily dinner service from 4 PM to 9 PM.

The announcement coincides with the launch of the Alex VIP Club, a refreshed membership program designed to enhance value for its members. New benefits for the Alex VIP Club include monthly complimentary Tasting Invitations, a complimentary bottle of wine each month, and the ability to earn and redeem points at Juniper at Vertex and Paddy O’Neill’s Irish Pub & Grill. Members will also receive exclusive account charge privileges and continued access to longstanding hotel and regional perks.
