Parade of Homes Showcases 40 New Builds in the Black Hills Oct. 4–5

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Black Hills Home Builders Association will host its annual Parade of Homes on Oct. 4–5, giving residents the chance to step inside some of the region’s newest and most innovative homes.

The two-day event, now a fall tradition in Rapid City, will feature 40 homes constructed by 19 area builders. Visitors can explore the latest trends in design and construction, meet the professionals behind the projects, and gather inspiration for future homebuilding or remodeling.

“This event really celebrates the creativity and craftsmanship of our local builders,” organizers said. “It’s an opportunity for the community to see what’s possible in the Black Hills housing market.”

  • Saturday, Oct. 4: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 5: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Tickets: $5, valid for both days
  • Location: Homes throughout the Rapid City area (maps and details available online and in the Parade of Homes app)

The Parade of Homes app allows attendees to plan routes, get driving directions, and preview photos and information about each home.

The annual showcase not only highlights homeownership opportunities but also underscores the strength of the Black Hills building industry, bringing together builders, tradespeople and community members to celebrate quality design and construction.
