West River Electric Association

West River Electric Association (WREA) named Robert Raker as incoming CEO and General Manager. This will be effective January 3, 2025, upon the retirement of outgoing CEO Dick Johnson. Robert holds an associate degree in Electrical Technology from Western Dakota Tech and is a licensed master electrician. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Chadron State College and his Juris Doctorate from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, MN.

SDN Communications

SDN Communications promoted Senior Account Executive Greg Robinson to West River – Business Development Manager. Greg is based out of SDN Communications’ Rapid City office. He has worked for the company since 2018. In this new role, Greg will identify, assess and execute business development opportunities in the West River market, including SDN fiber expansion.

Sentinel Federal Credit Union

Sentinel Federal Credit Union appointed Dorothy Voorhees as Chief Executive Officer. She has been serving as Interim CEO since April. Dorothy joined Sentinel FCU as Chief Financial Officer in 2018. Her background includes extensive experience in cash flow management, interest rate risk management, budgeting, compliance, and strategic planning.

Dorothy holds an AACSB Accreditation Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Applied Management from Black Hills State University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Management from the same institution.

Monument Health

Monument Health announced that Alan Solano has been named Vice President of Governmental Affairs. In this role, Alan will serve as an influential voice supporting the mission of Monument Health, building relationships with key legislators, administration policymakers and other community stakeholders.

Alan will leave his current role as John T. Vucurevich Foundation CEO in December 2024 and take over his new role at Monument Health in January 2025.
