RAPID CITY, S.D. — TSP, Inc. announced that Seth Harwood has received his license as a Registered Architect in South Dakota after successfully completing the Architect Registration Examination.

Harwood passed the Architect Registration Examination, known as the ARE, which is developed and administered by National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. The multi-division exam assesses candidates’ knowledge and skills related to architectural practice and professional standards.

To qualify for licensure, candidates must complete a professional degree from a program accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board and meet state experience requirements before sitting for the exam.

Harwood joined TSP in 2025 and is based in the firm’s Rapid City office. He earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from South Dakota State University, a master’s degree in fine arts from Academy of Art University, and a master’s degree in architecture from Boston Architectural College.

In addition to his architectural work, Harwood is an accomplished artist and previously served as an adjunct fine arts professor at Black Hills State University.
