RAPID CITY, S.D. – Business leaders and community members will gather at the Dahl Arts Center on Aug. 13 for the launch of the South Dakota Legacy Speaker Series, an event aimed at exploring strategies to fuel growth and innovation in West River communities.
The first session, “Fueling Growth & Innovation in West River,” will feature three prominent speakers: David Emery, retired chairman and CEO of Black Hills Corp.; Tom Johnson, president and CEO of Elevate Rapid City; and Rob Mudge, president of RPM Innovations.
Organizers say the series is designed to spark conversations about the future of South Dakota’s economy, workforce and quality of life.
“Whether you’re a business owner, a parent, a student, or someone who cares about the future of our community, this conversation is for you,” promotional materials state. “Together, we can ensure South Dakota continues to be a place where future generations thrive.”
The event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is free to attend.
The series is part of the South Dakota Strong initiative, which highlights leadership, collaboration and innovation across the state.
