RAPID CITY, S.D. — July 28, 2025 — A new hiring platform designed in the Black Hills is gaining traction among Rapid City employers and job seekers. FOQUS™ (pronounced like “focus”) is a rebranded and expanded version of the employment tool built by OneHeart, a local nonprofit committed to workforce development.
Now live at www.foqus.work, FOQUS™ offers advanced features aimed at simplifying the job search and hiring process. The platform allows employers to post openings and sort through candidates using smart filtering tools that prioritize qualifications and experience. For job seekers, the platform’s custom FOQUS Profile emphasizes skills and includes a shareable resume-style feature to help users stand out. Video tutorials are also available to guide users through the hiring process.
The platform has also brought on a new Expansion Director, Susie Marcks, to help grow employer and candidate participation. Based in Rapid City, Marcks joined the FOQUS team in June and is tasked with broadening the platform’s footprint both locally and in other South Dakota job markets.
“FOQUS is more than a job board—it’s a tool built for our local workforce needs,” said a spokesperson for OneHeart. “Our first successful hire through FOQUS happened earlier this year, and we’re excited to see more Black Hills employers come on board.”
FOQUS currently supports industries including construction, retail, hospitality, healthcare, and human services. OneHeart’s long-term goal is to make the platform a go-to resource across South Dakota.
Interested employers and job seekers can sign up or learn more at www.foqus.work. FOQUS-related inquiries may be directed to Susie Marcks at [email protected].
