SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Brandon Maddox, founder and CEO of Silencer Central, has been appointed to the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) Board of Governors, a move that further elevates South Dakota’s profile in the national firearms industry.

Maddox, who leads the nation’s top suppressor sales company, will join a group of business leaders from across the firearms and outdoor recreation industry in guiding the NSSF’s efforts to protect and promote America’s shooting and hunting heritage.

“I am deeply honored to accept the appointment to the NSSF Board of Governors,” Maddox said. “The NSSF plays a pivotal role in defending our 2nd Amendment rights and supporting companies within the firearms industry.”

Based in Sioux Falls, Silencer Central has become a key player in simplifying the suppressor buying process for consumers nationwide. Maddox’s appointment reflects his growing influence as both a business leader and firearms policy advocate. He is also the founder of the South Dakota Firearms Industry Association and has testified before state legislatures on firearm access and regulation.

“Brandon brings deep knowledge of the regulatory landscape and a passion for protecting the rights of sportsmen and women,” said NSSF President and CEO Joe Bartozzi. “His entrepreneurial leadership and commitment to our industry’s growth will be valuable assets to the Board of Governors.”

Maddox’s leadership further strengthens South Dakota’s emerging role in the national firearms and shooting sports community. His work aligns with the NSSF’s mission to promote, protect, and preserve the industry and its heritage.

Founded in 1961, the NSSF is the trade association for the firearms industry. More information is available at nssf.org.
