Korder Cropsey has earned licensure as a professional engineer in South Dakota after passing the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam, qualifying him as a civil engineer specializing in structural design.
PE licensure is the engineering profession’s highest standard of competence, demonstrating achievement, expertise, and assurance. To become licensed, engineers must complete a four-year degree, pass the Fundamentals of Engineering exam, typically gain four years of qualifying experience under the supervision of a licensed professional engineer, and prepare for the PE exam. Passing the PE exam is the final step in obtaining licensure from a state board.
Cropsey holds a master’s degree in civil engineering (with a structural emphasis) from South Dakota Mines, where he also earned his undergraduate degree.
He works in TSP’s Rapid City office and joined the firm in March 2021.
