A new mixed-use complex is under construction in Rapid City’s southern corridor. Fifth Park LLC recently broke ground on the 5th Street Apartments project. The complex will be comprised of two buildings. Building A will have nearly 17,000 square feet of retail space on the grand floor and 54 apartment units above. Building B will offer a ground-level parking garage and 78 apartment units.
The developers are about more than buildings. They also are intentional about curating a community feel. As such, the complex will also include a private, outdoor community patio for residents to enjoy.
TJ Wojtanowicz is one of the Fifth Park LLC partners. He said, “We’re excited to have this project off the ground & running. This is going to be a great addition to Southside Rapid City. This area of town is definitely growing & we’re looking forward to being a part of it.”
Gustafson Builders, BankWest, and Uda Architecture & Design have and will play a pivotal role in construction.
This is the second development in the last five years at this Fifth Street corridor. Town Centre South opened at 4905 5th Street two years ago. Current businesses include Cohort Brewery, Black Hills Realty, and Wells Fargo Advisors. Two years later, Town Centre II expansion brought Evolve Rapid City, Angelica’s Boutique, and most recently Ma Cualli restaurant. The Enchanted Pines Apartment complex broke ground in March 2022 and continues to expand.
