Tour Seven Apartments In One Day At Upcoming Open House

Looking for a new place to call home? Apartment hunting is about to get much easier, with an upcoming open house allowing you to tour seven Rapid City-area properties from Lloyd Companies in the same day.

The Lloyd Companies July 13 Open House will feature many properties with immediate availability, along with brand-new communities where you’ll be the first person to live in your home.
“We’re very excited to offer this open house and hope to reach as many renters as we can,” regional manager Jana Plooster said.

“A year ago, this market was very tight and at times it was hard to find an apartment. But now there’s considerably more inventory, so it’s a good time to take a look at what’s available, and we’ve made it very simple with the upcoming open house.”

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., stop by any of these seven properties, and a member of the Lloyd property management team will be happy to show you the apartments and amenities at each community:

Many of Lloyd’s communities featured at the open house are new or have new phases opening. Split Creek Commons opens in July and ultimately will include multiple wings with a community room in the center, offering studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments.

“It’s a cool design and unlike anything we have in the market,” Plooster said. “It includes some lofts, so you’ll walk in and then go upstairs to a couple bedrooms and it’s a great floor plan.”
Shepherd Hills Commons, a townhome-style community, opened in May and has been an instant hit with residents.

“They’re opening in stages and filling before they’re even done,” Plooster said. “People are very excited for townhomes, including with garages, so we encourage you to reach out soon if you’re interested in those.”

If you enjoy amenities, The Vue at Catron and Sedona Flats include outdoor pools with grills and gathering spaces.

“Sedona Flats is leasing up its third building, and the Vue was an original Lloyd property in Rapid City that has a great reputation with tenants,” Plooster said. “Our newer properties also will have fantastic amenities, but if you want a pool already open and ready to go, we have those here.”

In Box Elder, The Union just opened its second building, bringing more than 200 additional apartments in many floor plans, including up to three bedrooms.

“We’re at the gateway to Ellsworth Air Force Base, so we’re seeing great interest from on the base and are excited to have so many additional options for residents,” Plooster said.

Plus, there are affordable options included in the open house. Heartland Heights and Springs Edge are open to income-qualified residents, who can stop by during the event.

“We can explain those qualifications and what’s involved with verification,” Plooster said. “We have some additional capacity in our affordable housing so we encourage anyone who wants to explore that to reach out.”
